Athletics

At TASOK, athletics is more than a physical pursuit—it’s a values-driven journey that builds character, fosters community, and inspires leadership.

Through our inclusive Grades 6–12 program, students grow through teamwork, discipline, and the pursuit of excellence—both on and off the field. Whether competing in individual or team sports, athletes develop confidence, resilience, and a strong sense of belonging. Our coaches serve as mentors and role models, helping students sharpen their skills while emphasizing sportsmanship, respect, and effort. Athletes are encouraged to lead with humility, take responsibility, and support one another through every win and challenge.

Sports have the power to change the world. It has the power to inspire, the power to unite people in a way that little else does. It speaks to youth in a language they understand. Sports can create hope, where there was once only despair. It is more powerful than governments in breaking down racial barriers. It laughs in the face of all types of discrimination. Sports Seasons


We offer three competitive seasons each year, with training and matches scheduled after school and on selected Saturdays.

  • Season 1 (August–November):
    Volleyball, Cross-Country, Swimming
     
  • Season 2 (November–February): Basketball
     
  • Season 3 (February–May):
    Soccer (Middle School & Varsity)

Local and International Competitions

Local competition and games are organized with local schools throughout the season.  Whenever possible, we encourage our teams to travel to local schools to play “away” games. A season-ending tournament/competition is hosted at TASOK with local and international schools participating.

All Varsity teams have the opportunity to participate in an international tournament.  Whenever possible we compete in the SAISA league.

a team uniform and
wear an official TASOK warm-up suit
when traveling.

These awards reflect the core purpose of sport at TASOK - personal growth, not just performance.

 

Passion is loving something so much, you would do whatever it takes, despite the challenges, struggles, and pain, to keep doing it. I find that passion in sports when I kick a ball into a goal, set a volleyball to a teammate, dance on a stage, or run across a finish line. These moments are worth more than gold; they make up who I am and shape who I want to become.
