Grade Level Placement
At TASOK, we are dedicated to providing opportunities for our students in higher education, while thoroughly preparing them with the necessary skills and knowledge for careers and global challenges that are yet to exist. Our programs and TASOK Mission are student-centered, placing the focus on a safe learning experience for all. As an international school of over 38 nationalities, we welcome your interest in joining our community!
TASOK’s admission and grade level policies are consistent with other leading academic institutions in our AISA Region. As such, grade level placement for students joining TASOK is based on the age of the child and previous school placement as outlined on the student application form. The final decision on grade placement is determined by the school. The cut-off date is August 31st of the year of school entry;
Preschool and Kindergarten
- Preschool 1 & 2 students must turn three (3) or four (4) years old on or before August 31st, kindergarten students must turn five (5) by that date, and grade one turn 6 before the 31st of August.
- Preschool and Kindergarten students must be toilet trained.
Grade 2 and Above
- Students applying for grade 2 must turn 7 before the 31st of August and so on through to grade five. Applicants will be placed by age but the Principal, in collaboration with the Director, may consider their previous academic history for those transferring from other American curriculum schools at the time of application.
