High School
High School students at TASOK are offered a college preparatory academic program. The goal of a college preparatory program is to develop student knowledge in content areas, critical thinking and writing skills, and to increase verbal and mathematical reasoning abilities.
Strong skills in these areas will ensure a successful transition to college or university. A student’s selection of courses should therefore meet their unique academic needs, challenge their abilities and reflect their educational goals. To this end, TASOK offers a core set of requirements for graduation that provide students with the opportunity to gain the skills and knowledge necessary to successfully enter their post school studies.
High School students also have the unique opportunity to challenge themselves even further by choosing to take courses at the AP Level such as: Calculus, Physics B, English Literature, French Language, History, Psychology, Economics, and Music Theory. All students must acquire a total of 25 credits from TASOK and/or another recognized institution for graduation. For university/college entrance, more credits are recommended in the core subjects.
